Patterns of Worship

Sundays at St John’s are of course our most visible and active time of the week. We have services at least twice on each Sunday, and at least one of these services is Holy Communion.

Our pattern of worship follows a monthly cycle:

  • 1st Sunday of month: 8am: Said Communion (traditional language), 9.30am: Parish Communion
  • 2nd Sunday of month: 8am: Said Communion (traditional language), 9.30am: Family Communion
  • 3rd Sunday of month: 9am: Said Communion (modern language), 3pm: Parish Communion
  • 4th Sunday of month: 8am: Said Communion (traditional language), 9.30am: Parish Communion, 5pm: Creative Worship
  • 5th Sunday of month: 10am: Team Communion (venue varies: check diary)

We also gather at 9.30am each Wednesday for a ‘Said’ Holy Communion.

The clergy (and any others who wish to join them) gather every Tuesday to Saturday at 8.45sm to say Morning Prayer.

All our worship is open to all. Please check the diary for weekly details
