The men’s breakfast is a tradition that goes back some years at St John’s. It is a very informal affair, and rarely (if ever) features anything overtly religious. Our hope is that men will come along for fellowship, conversation and a wonderful cooked breakfast. There is a small charge of just £4 per person, and any profit is always donated to something worthwhile.
Each breakfast features a short talk or presentation by an invited guest (sometimes from amongst the regulars). Recent topics have included ‘Real Ale’, ‘Wood Turning’, ‘Being Father Christmas’, ‘Climbing Scotland’s mountains in winter’ and ‘Nuclear power’. Something for everyone, we hope!
Attendance is open to everyone (preferably men, though…) and the breakfasts are held every couple of months or so.
